Have your say
Carers are at the centre of all that we do at Carers NSW. Continued participation and feedback from carers informs all of our activities, from service design, to education delivery, to research, to policy advice and advocacy.
There are five main ways you can share your experiences and suggestions with Carers NSW:
Become a member
Carers NSW membership is free for carers, carer support groups and individuals. Members can contribute to the work of Carers NSW by participating in the Annual General Meeting and responding to content included in our quarterly member newsletter, Carers News.
Become a Carer Representative
Carers who want to make a difference and improve service systems for all carers can apply to become a Carers NSW Carer Representative. Carer Representatives are specially trained volunteers who are offered opportunities to represent carers and Carers NSW in a variety of settings.
Raise an issue with the Policy team
The Policy team regularly collects stories examples from carers about problems they experience with accessing services. This information is used to recommend changes that improve the support available to all carers. Carers can phone the Policy team or email policy@carersnsw.org.au or complete our online Policy Advice Form to raise a policy issue.
Join the Research Community
Carers can contribute to the national evidence about what works for carers by participating in research. The Research Community is a network of carers who receive monthly updates about research opportunities that specifically explore carers’ experiences.
