The Carer Gateway is an Australian Government initiative offering tailored supports and services to help carers manage the challenges that may be experienced due to their caring role, reduce stress and plan ahead. Carer Gateway offers a number of supports to carers including counselling, in person peer support, planned and emergency respite and access to carer directed packages.
Carer Gateway Services and Supports provides carers and service providers with an understanding of:
- the Carer Gateway
- the services offered and how to access these
- the carer support planning process
You will require access to a computer with speakers (a microphone and video camera are a bonus). Training is delivered using Zoom. Carers NSW will send you instructions about how you can join the session on the day before each session.
